Vanessa Greene’s debut novel, The Vintage Teacup Club, is the story of new found friendship and vintage tea sets. To celebrate the novel’s upcoming 11th October publication, Little, Brown, hosted a tea party replete with vintage tea sets reminiscent of those beloved in the book by Jenny, Alison and Maggie.
Amongst eleven other fans, I was lucky enough to attend the tea party. Like The Vintage Teacup Club, the party was an intimate chat among new found friends over tea, cake and sandwiches as different aspects of the book were discussed.
The Vintage Teacup Club follows three ladies, Jenny, Alison and Maggie who meet while discovering the perfect vintage tea set at a car boot sale. They share not only the tea set, but a relationship founded on tea cups and bound by real friendship. The Vintage Teacup Club is a truly charming novel, focusing on the finer points of life and captured by warm storytelling.
Vanessa was a great hostess, talking with us about the book, signing autographs and welcoming photographs. The team at Little, Brown, were all very friendly and thoughtful in providing such a unique event. I wish every success to Vanessa and The Vintage Teacup Club.
