Make sure you spend sufficient time at the computer! There are no short cuts to producing 100,000 words. At some point that botty has to be glued to that chair for a lot of hours.
Do things so that you have something to write about – travel the world, picnic in the rain, whatever floats your boat.
If you really want to write then allow yourself time to do so. Organise a babysitter, cleaner, stop going to the gym, have all the takeaway menus handy. Do whatever it takes to buy some space for yourself.
Write for at least half an hour every day. I believe that’s the best way to develop your own voice
Enjoy it! If you love writing then finding time for it should be easy! If you find it a bind to sit at your computer and despise the process, do something else!
